ASTEROID

VCS contributed immersive production work to ASTEROID, a film and interactive experience made for the launch of Android XR. Doug Liman’s 180-degree space thriller places the audience inside an expedition to an asteroid. The cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Ron Perlman and DK Metcalf.

After the film, viewers enter an interactive rescue scenario and speak with an AI version of Metcalf’s character. The project combines cinematic storytelling with participation inside a spatial environment. It was presented at Venice Immersive in 2025 and released on Samsung Galaxy XR. The production stills show both the film and interactive experience.
