QuadMagic

QuadMagic was a client-commissioned panoramic camera build. The cameras had to work as one synchronized system, with their positions fixed by the geometry of the panoramic view. The development photographs show the rough arrangement used for geometry testing before the finished assembly.

Fabrication included measured metal components, camera mounts and a powder-coated housing. The album follows the hardware through machining and assembly to the completed camera and its packed transport case. It records the practical steps between choosing a camera layout and building a system that can be handled and taken into production.
